Former SVP, Managing Director & Associate General Counsel, Wells Fargo | Board Member, LebNet | Civic and Community Leader

Behind every strong community are individuals who choose to stay engaged, contribute, and help shape its future in meaningful ways. Ghada Saliba-Malouf is one of those members within the LebNet community.

With a thoughtful approach to leadership and a genuine commitment to giving back, Ghada brings both perspective and purpose to her role within the LebNet community. In this spotlight, we speak with her about what drew her to LebNet, what keeps her engaged, and how she envisions the future of the community.

What motivated you to take on a leadership role within LebNet, and what did you feel you could contribute?

After concluding a long legal career in financial services, I wanted to be thoughtful about where I invested my time and energy. I was looking for a meaningful way to give back to my community, and LebNet felt like a natural fit. In many ways, it is a home away from home, a connection to Lebanon that has remained a constant throughout my life.

I have always been passionate about mentoring young professionals, particularly because such opportunities were scarce early in my own career. LebNet offered the chance to help build a strong, sustainable community that supports Lebanese professionals at every stage of their journey and strengthens ties across the diaspora.

What has been the most meaningful connection or experience you’ve had through LebNet?

There have been so many meaningful experiences in such a short time: the strong bonds among our board members, our exceptional team, the growth of our communities, and the remarkable members I have met along the way. What touched me most deeply, however, was our Visionary Fund campaign. We asked the community, Lebanese and non Lebanese alike, to invest in LebNet’s future and help sustain its mission. The response was overwhelmingly generous. It demonstrated not only the community’s belief in our work, but also a shared commitment to ensuring that LebNet continues to serve and inspire future generations.

What role do you think communities like LebNet can play in connecting the Lebanese diaspora with Lebanon, and contributing to the country’s future?

LebNet is a microcosm of Lebanon at its best. What makes our community successful is a singular focus on a shared goal: the professional growth, development, and success of our members. We have built a community around that common purpose, one that people embrace regardless of background, politics, or religion.

Communities like LebNet can play an important role in connecting the diaspora with Lebanon by fostering relationships, sharing expertise, creating opportunities, and investing in the country’s future. Through our engagement and initiatives in Lebanon, I hope we can help strengthen a culture built on shared values, collaboration, and opportunity, and demonstrate what is possible when we come together around common goals.

Was there a moment where you realized LebNet had become something bigger than a network?

Yes. The recent YourTurn campaign was such a moment. In response to the war in Lebanon, our network quickly mobilized to support organizations assisting internally displaced families. Our talented engineers, creatives, and volunteers built and promoted a state of the art giving platform that enabled donors to support trusted charities quickly and efficiently.

The ingenuity, creativity, and dedication displayed throughout the campaign were remarkable. The effort not only contributed to a successful fundraising initiative, but also demonstrated the extraordinary capabilities of our community. It was a powerful reminder that LebNet is more than a professional network. It is a community that comes together when it matters most.

What does the future of LebNet look like to you, and what role should the Lebanese diaspora play in building it?

I see LebNet continuing to strengthen its position as the premier global network of Lebanese professionals, expanding its reach, deepening member engagement, and attracting new generations of talent around the world. We will continue to grow our community, strengthen our platform, and ensure long-term financial sustainability.

We will also deepen our engagement with Lebanon by sharing expertise, creating opportunities, and supporting the next generation of leaders. We do this through a never-ending cycle of paying it forward where the mentees of today become the mentors, volunteers, and donors of tomorrow. That cycle of giving back is what will ensure LebNet's impact continues for generations to come.

If you could describe LebNet in one sentence, what would it be?

LebNet is a global diaspora community of Lebanese professionals committed to the success and advancement of Lebanese talent worldwide.
